falcon 56,
Set the CG at the wing spar.
It is about 2 7/8" from the front of the wing.
This works for me.
Couple of questions...
Is this a Stick 40 Plus (with ailerons) or a stick 40 (with out ailerons)?
Is this your first trainer?
Give me some more info...
Club?
Instructor?
Bill
Here is mine.
I learned on it and still have it.

Funny you should mention the SS. Just got a wing kit and plans for a Stick 40. My son is learning to fly and thought the SS was really cool. I really enjoy the old things, too. The Stick 40 plans indicate 1.25" total at the elevator, 2.5" total at rudder, and .75" total for ailerons if so equipped. If you are using it for a trainer, I would cut the elevator travel down by about a third until it's been test flown by someone with experience. It looks a little fast to my eyeball.

Thanks for the info but the picture looks like the updated version of the swizzle stick.
Mine is about 20 years old and it has a rounded rudder without ailerons. I dont h ave the plans anymore but if memory searves me right it had the option of barn door ailerons.
Thanks
