Hey guys,
Please give me all the tips and how tos you can about hovering. I have no intension of tryin to hover my trainer but I want to try and learn on rf g2. Im using the GP Cap 232 on RF. thanx

a good entry, lots of control surfaces, quick reaction, and alot of knowledge as to what the plane is going to do. trainers won't sustain a hover no matter how much engine you throw at them, they don't have the control surfaces needed.

My avistar is on maximum throws with an la 40 swinging an apc 10x6 and will hover, more less torque roll for about 5 seconds then I let it fall off........... Should use my 46ax but I am saving it for my extra 300.

a controlled hover that you can enter and exit at will, at least in my book 30 seconds+, but you need a plane capable of sustained hover. 5-10 seconds and you aren't controlling the plane in the hover, it just happens to stay there because of inertia. keep it there 30 seconds and that would be hovering.
I can put my mini IFO vertical, hang it on the prop, but i don't consider that a hover. No rudder on it and it starts to get away from in usually 10-15 seconds max.

It is not your problem. RF G2 is a really bad 3d simulator. I can't hover on G2 more than 10 seconds. Don't worry, at the field is much easier... If u want to train hovers on a simulator buy aerofly pro, it is really good simulator, even in 3D situations. I heard that Reflex simulator was a excellent physics simulator, but i never tryed it. But i personally have G2 and aerofly pro! and i can guarantee that aerofly pro is much better(in everything)... well, u dont have races, and try to pass between 2 points... but... who cares?

smokingcrater -- I can hover both of my old Hobbico Superstars -- but they don't torque roll very well -- eventually falling out. Just takes practice.

The most realistic, and easiest, plane on RF G2 is the Biplane. You have to create a copy and then I went in and moved the CG back about .5 to .7 inches. It isnt like the real thing, but you can learn the basics.

You right Byrdman, i can hover sucessfuly only with biplane (well, max 10sec). i never tryed to put CG back, but 3d maneuvers on g2 are so bad! they have a lot of work to do about physics!

Iv tried to make a copy of the bipes but every time i do it says that its not read or something and i can fix it by gettin on explorer? anyone know what its talkin about?
