Airscooter,
You are definitely welcome. But it's you that we need to thank. It's generous hobbyists like you and other that make PIF happen. Without the generosity of others PIF wouldn't happen.

thanks again

Just wanted to say thanks to Rc Ken & Bubbagates for the great graphics package I received today. They are very nice and will look great on my airplanes. I will definitely display them proudly. I'll try to take some pics after I have put some on so those of you who haven't seen them will get a chance to know how nice they are. Personally I think they were a very nice & generous gesture for what only amounted to a small contribution on my part. So thanks again guys, I really appreciate it. Let's keep this thing going and not let it slip from our minds as I know there are still lots of deserving ppl out there who can benefit from this program & grow to be an asset to this hobby/desease of ours. I will be sporting the Pay It Forward logo & the RC Universe logo on every plane I own that's big enough to wear them![sm=sunsmiley.gif][sm=thumbup.gif][sm=thumbup.gif][sm=thumbup.gif]

I recently bought a Parkzone J3 cub off of a member of RCU. The plane had so much epoxy on it it is very unstable and will not fly. I can't get a hold of him or give the bum a review. Electronics are good. Does anyone have something me and my son can learn to fly?

OK eveeryone. The trim scheme competetion is winding down. RCKen is almost ready to cover Seebee1's Lt-40. He expects it to be ready by the end of Thanksgiving weekend. I have asked Ken to tell us all when he is actually ready and I will extend the competition 3 days beyond that to allow everyone to get any submitions in.

The prize is either a Hangar 9 Twist or $80.00. The decision will be up to Seebee and his daughters and thier decision is final

Here is the post with all of the current submitions all in one place

Time for a bump
Hasn't been much activity on this thread lately.
I guess everyone is looking at RC KEN's build thread, if you haven't you should it is a really excellent "How To" if anyone is planning on building a kit.

Yep, Bill is right. I'm going to close up the competition for the design contest. It's getting to the point that I need to order the covering material for this plane. So it's up to SeeBee1 and his daughters to decide what they want their LT-40 to look like. Of course, we'll let everybody know who wins!! Good luck to all those that entered. There were a lot of good designs there so I know it's going to be hard to pick a winner.

Bump, Let's not let this program fade away, it's a good one. Ken should be getting ready to cover the LT-40 for Seabee & his girls pretty soon. Should be a fine looking plane, god knows it was built miticulously enough!

It's a new year gentleman & I would like to see how many new ppl we can get started in this hobby/addiction of ours. I know there are still alot of ppl, especially young ppl that would love to be able to learn to fly who's parents aren't in a position financially to make it a reality for them right now. That is what this program is about. I know personally if my Dad hadn't given me alot of his old stuff when he retired the hobby I probably wouldn't be here right now either. We have a line on a nice kit, & an engine to go with it. Just a radio away from a new plane for another deserving family like Seebee & his girls. If anyone has a 4-channel radio they could part with, the components for this plane would be complete. Even if you just have a TX or an RX or a couple extra servos, we could piece a radio system together. If you have any radio components you no longer need please let Ken or Bill know.

If you are a family in need of some RC help, please contact bubbagates & explain your situation to him.

Mark

P.S. BUMP!!

I have a Hitec Laser 4 transmitter (on channel 47) and charger that could be added to the kit/engine to help get a new person started. The flight pack is in one of my planes so a receiver and servos is needed. I have a new switch harness to toss in. I bought the radio in June 2003 for my PT-60, mostly because a whole radio was the same price as a flight pack. Other than charging it once and making sure it worked, the transmitter is unused.

Hi guys I am new to airplanes and I am also in the navy. I am stationed in Va Beach VA I am also going to school full time so I am kinda straped when it comes to cash. I was wondering if somebody could help me out with a trainer. I have nothing right now but I am willing to give back any donated items once I have my own trainer built that only seems fair. I appreciate what you guys are doing even if you can't help.

http://n.ethz.ch/student/mmoeller/fms/index_e.html

There's a link to a free sim you can download. If you go the sim forum & ask, I believe there is someone out there selling a cord so that you can use your radio Tx with this sim. Hope this helps.
