HI, I have a Hanger9 Easy 2 RTF. The assembly went well. Took it out to fly and all it wanted to do was go up. With all the trim that I had at the transmitter it wanted to climb. Luckily I was able to bring it down. The elevator seems to be in proper alignment. What do you suggest? I need help.

check the incidence of stabilizer to wing and also engine down thrust as you may need more. also you may just need to adjust the elevator for more down with the control rod clevis.sometimes it dont need much to level it out.(edit) also check that the CG is correct.

How wide open did you have the throttle? I could only get my H9 Alpha trainer to trim level at 1/2 throttle. Mine always climbed at full throttle. I adjusted the elevator clevis to actually have a little down elevator when the trim was neutral. The result is I get level flight at 2/3 - 3/4 throttle, slight climb at full throttle, and slight descent at anything below 1/2 throttle. This also helped me with landings as the H9 planes tend to float alot during landings.
But I suggest taking your plane to your local club/field and having some of the more experienced folks take a look at it.

My plane does the same thing that you describe. The only way I was able to land was glide in when the engine stopped. Even at less than half throttle it would climb. I am going to make a few adjustments as suggested and try it again. Thanks

The Extra Easy is notorious for wanting to climb. It's that big wing that does it! I even had guys suggest putting popsicle sticks under the wing at the trailing edge to decrease the angle of incidence. All I ending up doing was giving it a little down elevator by adjusting the clevis at the control horn. She flys level at 2/3 power with the transmitter trim at neutral and climbs out nice at full power.

Thanks Prop and all you other helpers. I adjusted the elevator two times and it flew like a plane. It turned out to be painless because of the threads I received. Thanks

I am ENCOURAGED but distressed to read this posting. I am a VERY OLD TIME R/C modeler and I had just posted in the ARF/RTF that it is HARD FOR ME TO BELIEVE that a model such as the XtraEZE2 "MARKETED AS A RTF for beginners" should have such serious incidence/balance problems.....
The post was read and GROSSLY missinterpreted by certain FALSE EXPERTS that unfortunately now exist in this hobby.
This post reveals that this is indeed a TRUE situation with this plane.
I have in my hands just such an example, purchased by a prospective beginner who just abandoned the sport, and whose model was also abandoned in my possession. This man just NEVER had a chance at flying.
With 40+ years of experience I am STILL working on this darn airplane, even the engine needed the whole carburetor replaced and close to 10oz. of weight added in the nose, plus many adjustments in incidence and balance, and throws , etc etc.
It makes me SICK to see marketing offers like this.
It goes AGAINST the intent of the supplier, I believe.
Instead of adding people to the hobby, it actually turns them off.
Even after a LOT of work, the plane STILL climbs , HARD.....but I am going to tame this beast, if it takes me all year.
SORRY, but this is the TRUTH !
ps A little ADDED explanation is needed : this beginner had assembled the plane "badly" and some of the mistakes were not correctable without breaking off glued parts, etc etc....so those problems needed to be corrected first. The tail feathers are still missaligned, but the basic defects in this plane were already detectable 4 or 5 years ago when it was a brand new offering in the market, and I run into these problems even back then.
Y'all can plainly see that this is not my FAVORITE airplane...!
