Need to thin epoxy so that it would penetrate loose joints around assembled fire wall. Should I use aceton or alcohol? Thanks.

Hello Pajda

Use 20-30 min. epoxy and thin with a little acetone.

Hope this helps.

Either one will work I like alcohol better than acetone and less smelly.

Your best results is to not use any thinner, use 30 minute epoxy and, after putting it on the area, heat the area with your heat gun. You will see the epoxy suddenly get thin and wick into every nook and cranny. Don't get it so hot is bubbles, just hot enough to suddenly run.

I recommend using epoxy that comes thin to start with. It's usually called something like "Epoxy finishing resin".
