Oh what a lot of sticks.
Started my Rapture kit today, I think it is going well so far. I made the Fin and rudder and am starting on the stab next.
I guess the only dumb question I have so far is regarding glue.
The instructions say to use epoxy or ca when stated and all other times when it says just glue to use your best judgement.
Well, being a newbie at this I don't have a best judgement. Am I safe to use CA whenever it says to glue?
I am also trying to upload a pic also, lets see if it works.

You can use thin CA, but a word of advice. Ventilation. And plenty of it. Lots of modelers develop serious allergies to CA from the fumes and have to quit using it. I'm not talking about a sniffle or two, but serious breathing problems for days after using it. They are forced to using Titebond or Elmer's Carpenters glue. I fortunately haven't developed allergies yet, but I'm not waiting. I've already switched over. It takes a bit longer to build but easier on the lungs.
I noticed a window behind you building area. Put a fan in the wind to suck the fumes away as you build and you should be ok.

Hmmm, allergies are the last thing I need at this point in my health.
Thanks for the advice, I'll need to keep a close eye on that.

Just remember CA is weak and flimsy compared to a 30 minute Epoxy. Use Epoxy wherever you need strength. Use CA where epoxy is impractical, too thick or just plain not needed.
Try to limit the amount of epoxy that you use in the tail. I don't mean use CA in the tail, I mean use only as much epoxy as necessary in order to minimize unneeded weight way back there. You may find yourself adding a lot of weight to the nose in balancing later on.
Beyond that; as long as you are confident in the bond you achieve, you can't go wrong.......except when you CA your forearm to the plans and your opposite palm to the workbench. UH....so I've heard.
Good Luck!!

Sweet!!
On one of my next builds, I want to do an entire Packers theme. Complete with logos and a powder-coated engine. Gonna be a while though...new baby eating my Lambeau fund. Thank God for direct TV.
BACK TO PLANES, before someone objects. I think building is a lot of fun. I have been building for a long time. I can't wait to become a proficient pilot, to bring this hobby full circle. You will find that kits are much more fun than ARFs, and you will learn tricks to make things go more smoothly.
Enjoy!!

I was going to give you a wealth of advise - Tell you things that would make building the most pleasurable experience of your entire life.
But then I noticed the shirt, and figured you're not smart enough to understand any of it.
Go VIKES!

If I was you I'd be using med CA to construct the assemblies......then the epoxy to attach the assemblies into a recognizeable structure. The only exception IMHO is in the wing....there I go med. CA to build them up and fiberglass the center if possible *G*
Remember that glue is weight too!

Good to see that you got the kit going. You never said the avitar was a self portrait though. HEHE! You'll have fun with the build, just stop and think if anything isn't immediately clear. You can contact us or the mfg for help or clarification.
Keep it up.

Time for a Rapture update!
I think things have been going well with the build. I have only made a couple minor mistake's. Easy fixes.
I am really enjoying doing this. I don't have a care in the world when I am working on it.
I had to slow down a bit. I put in 13 plus hours the first couple of days, don't want to finish it to quick.
Got the stab, fin and the wing done. Started on the fuselage last night. Had Chemo today so I took the day off.
Here are a couple pic's.
