Having just recently soloed....I crashed my Nexstar. Not sure I really have the hang of things yet, but working on it. I really like the
WARBIRDS, but I am not qualified to fly them yet....SO.....decided to rebuild the Nexstar.....AND.....add a little WARBIRD in it. Since it
is not really a WARBIRD......I call it the WAR DUCK !
Took almost all of the Dihedral out of the wing......got rid of the pesky tricycle landing gear and made a tail dragger out of it, and
re-covered it in ugly Army Green monokote. Its the first time I have ever done anything this extensive on a plane, and had to have my
cousin help me with fiberglassing the wing joiner in place (for extra strengh). Now I am wondering......"will the guys at the club let me
fly "formation" with they're "for real" WARBIRDS ? (that might still be a little dangerous) Anyway....here are a few pics of the
creatiion.

I Love It!
That's what happens to ARFs sometimes, is when you ding them, and you just use what you've got hanging around the shop to fix it. It's amazing what they end up looking like.

Hey don't tell anyone at the field what it is.. Make up some exotic name and see how long you can keep them going while hinting at what it really is!
Man I got tricked the other day

MAIDEN FLIGHT REPORT !!!!!!!
Well.....she went to the field tonight. My Instructor helped to get it all trimmed out properly, then he flew it first to make sure all was
well. Then.....I FLEW IT !!!! It flew AWESOME !!!!! Seemed to handle so much better than when it was in its pre-life as a NEXSTAR.
I think the dihedral change in the wing made a huge difference. And landing.....you ask......was really smooth !!! ( I knew you would
ask)
All in all......I think I am going to like this plane.....just need to add some bright trim color under the wing. (also will help if it EVER finds
a corn field again)
Thanks again for all the support

This is from his instructor which be needs no more. We all liked what he did with his plane really looked cool we liked the War Duck. After I trimed it out he flew it several times from take off to landing really greased them in. He has a winner.
