I need help big time, I haven't flown in years and I am just starting to get back into things. I have just purchased a Zagi and a Futaba 6DA transmitter. With the Zagi being a wing I need to operate the Ailerons and Elevator from the same servo's.
What I am trying to ask, is it going to be possible to do this from the transmitter that I have got and also how would I have to go around setting it up.
Any information will be much appreciated.
Thanks
Trevor

From: Laurel, MD,
You need "elevon mixing". Check the radio manual to see if it does "elevons". If it does, enable it, and you're all set. If it doesn't, then there are add-on mixer boxes that you can plug in between your Receiver and servos that will do the job.

Your trasmitter does not do elevons. Im pretty sure zagi makes their own (or rebrands someone else's). But here is a mixer from tower that is cheap.

Trevor, I fly quite a few wings from a mini 20 inch span to a 50 inch span. Zagi's are made pretty tough and will take a beating.
Once you get your elevons moving in the correct direction, adjust them to give a bit of reflex. This means when your radio is on and the stick is centered, the elevons should be just slightly up. Makes the wing easier to launch and it won't dip down on you once you throw it into the air. Also, adjust your control throws to low for your first flights as wings are pretty wicked on full throws if your not used to the model. Lastly, contrary to what a lot of people say, launch the model at full throttle. I've launched this way for over 5 years with pusher type models and have never been sliced by the prop yet. I do this for 2 reasons. 1st, I don't have to fiddle around searching for the throttle lever (plane will have dropped due to gravity after launch) and, your taking the torque effect away from hitting full throttle while the model is flying at low speed.
