I just bought my first Rc-plane and that was electric. I have 2 trips, and both was crash in the ground.
But repair cost so far is only appx 10 dollars in glue and props.
But my question is, is electro better to start with than a fuel trainer?
Problem i have is the wheelbase. Its allways turn right or left, never straigh. How do i fix that? Wheels are straight, but it still turn.

Well when you have a cheap EP plane it does not fly well ... whether its EP or GP it all depends on the plane you buy. If you want a good and easy to fly EP plane then go for the Multiplex Easy Star. Flies very well. Any of your glow powered trainers are good.

It all depends on how much you wanna pay for everything. A full setup GP trainer with field gear will cost you AT MOST (roughly) 350. Id suggest doing that, i got an electric foamy that i trashed and it wasnt fun. I would recommend a tower trainer. Tough durable, and really cheap. Also, if you want soemthing smaller and cheaper, get a phoenix models .25 trainer. Small, even cheaper, but less power. You have to be more specific in your question to get good replies.
How much are you willing to spend?
Are you aware that you have to get a club and find an instructor if your going glow?
DOnt forget about field gear.
WHat sizes are you looking at?
Ill help you out, just answer those quetions.

Glow versus electric is an often debated subject, with no clear "winner". Either are fine for beginners. Of MUCH MORE IMPORTANCE than the power choice is finding an instructor. While some people have learned to fly on their own, those who learn with an instructor spend less time and money repairing their planes.

The first EP plane I ROGed was a CARL GOLDBERG 550 which I made from a kit . It was a flimsy plane or at least I built it flimsy so 2 crashes put it out of it's misery.

I'm still learning to fly. I have both, electrics & glow, I'm having much better luck with my GP Tower Trainer, keep in mind I also have qualified people helping me now as well, but I still think I like & trust the power of GP over my EP. GP may cost me more in the long run buying fuel all the time, but electrics cost alot initially to get started, at least if your gonna go with the good brushless stuff, & the lipo batteries, & the charger for the lipos. The ESCs for the brushless stuff can get rather pricey as well.
Samolot mentioned doing the foamy thing. I spent all evening and about $300 bucks setting up a foamy with all the good brushless/lipo stuff, spent about 1.5 minutes in the air before I crashed it to death![sm=confused.gif] It was then that I said ok I surrender, I apologized to the RC Gods, for I knew I had angered them greatly, went and got an Instructor, an AMA#, & a Trainer. Still on the waiting list to join the club though. Good luck to you.
