Well, I had to perform a little surgery today. My Twist fell off my workbench and damaged my aileron. One of the diagonal braces was cracked and the trailing edge as well. At first, I tried to peel back the covering, repair it and then tack it back down and shrink it back. What ended up happenning, was that the edges where I used the iron did not stick and the whole piece shrunk up on me.
My question is, what is the best way to repair this? Here's a picture of what i'm talking about.

derek533,
Once the adhesive on the covering has been activated by heat and attached to the wood you can't reattach it. To recover the repair you're going to have to purchase a roll of covering and recover the repaired area with fresh new covering.
Hope this helps
