As i accumulate more plane i can keep them on the floor. My parent wont let me get more until the rest are put away. I have no wall space(really). A laser sailboat is hanging from the ceiling on one side. Does anyone have an idea for hanging 3 plus planes. could you make a pvc rack and attach it to a harken hoister?

I found some 50 pound plastic drywall anchors at Lowe's. They simply turn in with a screwdriver. Use a plant hanger in them to hang your fuselages by cords looped under them.

I recently made rack for a phaeton 90 bipe for garage ceiling out of pvc pipe. I followed a design in MA rag. Drilled holes in 2x4 for pipe drops and used long scews to secure as well as to fasten into ceiling joist. Located it above the pickup cab. Used pipe insulation foam on the pipe sections to buffer. Easy project.

I like to hang my planes up with the wings attached with a strong guage fishing line. I usually pad the line where it attaches around the fuse, and tie the other on the prop shaft.
I usually hang my biggist plane above my wifes head over the bed.
I'm a mean husband... she thinks it's going to fall on her one day, but that hasn't happened yet. LOL
I fly my planes every week almost, I only string them up during the winter months. My Goldberg Eagle I hope to fly this winter with the ski's. I'm currently recovering the wings as I write this. My Cover was 16 years old with many patches, it had to go.

Home Depot has these two way adjustable overhead hangers for under $9.00ea. They adjust from 12.75" to 21" and hold 25lbs per side.

Danny,
I had a similar problem to yours so I started hanging my planes from the ceiling. It was like that for about 2 years before I finally got sick of it. I always felt like it might fall down,(luky it never did), it was a little difficult and anoying to get it down, and the planes got realy dusty. So to solve the problem I made a free standing multi wing/ airplane rack made from pvc. Mine holds 2 40 sized planes and 3 wings. If you wanted it to be able to hold more planes, then you could just make yours taller. (Just a suggestion)
heres a pic.

looks like a cool plane rack but i cant put it next to any wall. Also i can keep any planes in the house. My parents are afraid of the fuel spilling. My only option is to hang them

I got some clothes line, and ran two parallel strings from one side of the garage to the other. The planes sit upright ballanced on the two lines. It works great, and my parents don't get angry when the mufflers leak castor oil everywhere.

here is my solution for plane rack, home depot or hardware store shelf standards the slotted ones, you screw to the wall, and shelf brackets with plumbing foam, the 3/4 works best, for padding, adjustable and on the wall out of the way one 4' shelf set up will hold 2 to 3 planes and wings depending how tight you pack em I have a couple one by the shop T.V. and one over my building table the thing I like best is they are adjustable for different plane sizes

ive got a jamara cessna 120 hanging from the ceiling, i loop some Fishing fire under the wings and hang it from a Hook in the ceiling (but its a light foam plane) and it looks like the plane is banking so it adds to the cool factor
