bigtim,

The rebates are for merchandise after you make the purchase, not the plane, engine or radio your purchasing.

Current Pricing online at Tower:

Plane - $100.00 (NextStar, Avistar, Superstar)
Engine - $115.00 (OS .46 AX)
Radio - $180.00 (Futaba 6EAS 6-ch computer)
---------------------
Total - $395.00

Plane - $100.00 (NextStar, Avistar, Superstar)
Engine - $115.00 (OS .46 AX)
Radio - $120.00 (Futaba Sky Sport 4-ch) (or Futaba 4EXA 4-ch computer $140.00)
---------------------
Total - $ 335.00 - $355.00

All three are good trainers. For the additional $20.00 I think the 4EXA would be the better way to go over the Sky Sport since it has features that make setting up a plane easier Your looking at a $40.00 price difference between the 4-ch and 6-ch computer radio's, so it's up to you how you want to spend your money. Besides the 4EXA will work in a lot of planes for a long time.

yes they are, or half that in cash it does say that, but as we all know this hobby is a $ pit so the company is going to get your $ no matter what.

so do you take the rebate for product or the cash?

don't forget the discount for $$ spent/promotion -20 per 150.

that sucking sound is my wallet being sucked into the computer.

for that price the nextar ARF sounds cheapest 379$ no computer radio but a basic sim instead its what I did and it worked for me .

I dont know whether the 4 ch. comp. radio is such a great deal. I have the 6 ch.for my other planes and it is great, wish I would have gotten the 7,since I didnt the 9 looks good if I am going too spend more $ on another radio it will be the top of the line its going to be a while before that happens, got a warbird to build.

I digress this is about saving some cash for someone new to flying
