Thank you all for your kind words. I did my best but the covering was kinda hard to handle, my personnal favorite is still fabric.

I am thinking of actually starting my flying experience with my Gentle Lady Glider (which I converted to electric with 400 outrunner) as you don't need to worry about take-offs and landings. After I get the feeling of handling something in the air and have to learn to land it will either be my Kadet Senioritta or the Tower Trainer 40.

I also wish the warm weather would hurry up, I am sooooooo anxious. I have spent well over $700 in field equipment, chargers, building flight box, and setups that I want Spring here like NOW!!! [8D]

Tigerdude, the plane looks awesome, covering is great. Looking forward to the maiden video. Have you thought which plane is gonna be your primary trainer. Warm weather is coming, just wish it would hurry up.

Fuselage basic color scheme is complete. Just gotta configure some kind of graphics and I am drafting the windows now.

Having a minor setback. Covered and hinged the elevator, then discovered a warp. So I gotta wait til my wood stock comes in next week from Balsa USA to redo the elevator.

Til then my order for the basswood tri-stock came in today so I can finish my flight box and finally stain it.

Later

Deja Vu.... I'm building one two.. just need to hinge the ailerons.. looks like you'll be in the air first.. can't wait to hear about it ! (I rounded my tips with blocks and used bolts/dowels in place of the rubber bands)

MY FINAL POST ON THIS BUILD THREAD.

My Tower Trainer 40 is complete, except for the wing hold-down dowels which will be glued in later, but won't be any need to post that so this is my final shots of the completed build. Hope you enjoy them and enjoyed the thread. Any and all comments and messages welcome.

tigerdude426,

Looks great! That's one of the most unique color schemes i've seen in a long time.

Last but not least, before your maiden flight order some #64 rubber bands. We don't want your hair getting caught in the prop! Good luck on the maiden flight.

Unfortunately no . #1 I keep visiting the field and they are always locked up, I am still trying to view the field and meet members but now we are getting rain. If it's not snow it's rain [:'(] and now forecast calls for three more days [:@]
#2 I have a rudder servo that is buzzing and I can not for the life of me find where the binding is. It is moving nice and smooth inside the fuselage not touching anywhere. The servo arms are not over-extending or rubbing anything. And the pushrod exits at the fuselage rear are open more than enough room for the ends to flow. What else could be causing the buzzing?

I have a Kadet Seniorita that I have ready to take to the field at the proper time after I measure the elevator/rudder throw measurements and buy fuel.

Does it buzz when the push rod is disconnected from the servo?
Yes - servo normal buzz
No - caused by control system

If no - reconnect at servo and disconnect at rudder. Does it buzz now?

Yes - buzz caused by push rod binding in some way including possibly being pulled sideways or up/down by rudder horn.
No - caused in some way by rudder

If you want to know when someone will be at the field pick up the PHONE and call the number that should be on their web site and ask. Also check on or go to the next meeting. Those happen even if it's raining.

He's had some personal issues get in the way. Search out some of his more recent threads for details.

Personal issues - yes, death of a very close friend and boss, financial situations almost to the point of disaster which I am praying to be solved without losing the house, and YES - the servo for the elevator STILL BUZZES and I am afraid I will have to remove the elevator and redo, if I can find a way to reinstall hinges after already having to remove an elevator because of a warp. And now because of a buzzing and moving servo, removing it again will leave no available area to cut new hinge slots. Will have to find a way.

I am almost to the point mentally (NOT FINANCIALLY) to try to do something with a trainer - probably the seniorita.

Will keep you posted on my condition and the goings-on.
