I AM A BEGINNER IN PUTTING AN ARF TOGETHER. THE QUESTION I HAVE IS I HAVE THE GILES 202 MADE BY PHONIX AND I CANNOT GET WHAT THEY ARE TALKING ABOUT THE DIHEADRIAL STABS ON WHERE THEY GO IN THIS PARTICULAR MODEL. I HAVE NOT FOUND THE SLOTS THEY ARE TAKING ABOUT THAT ARE IN THE WINGS. CAN ANYONE HELP WITH THIS MODEL.

You are new to RC flying and you are going to fly this Giles 202? Have you done any training at all?
Is this Phoenix Giles 202 ??
Are you talking about the joining spar that goes into each of the two wing halves? There is no manual available for viewing other than the writeup here on RCU on the Giles 202 by Phoenix models. This looks like a straight forward ARF wing joining effort here. From what I can see on the RCU review, there is a slot in each of the wing halves at the thickest part of the wing that the wood spar slides into. If this is what you are talking about then this goes into the wing so that the dihedral is UP. See the picture below.

If you look at this picture you can see the hole in the root (center) end of the wing where the dihedral stab would be inserted.
This is NOT a beginner pilot airplane. You did not state your flying experience but most pilots with the skill to fly this plane would have known how to install the brace.

As I said in my reply, there is no manual available for download and all we can go by is the picture shown in the review as indicated by Bruce.
Perhaps it might be best to take it to the local hobby shop and ask someone there, if it's an RC aircraft shop that is, if they can possibly assist you with this. Or maybe someone at your club that is an experienced builder. Without actually seeing the model, nor being able to download a manual to look at, most of us may not be able to help. Someone that has built one may be able to give you an idea of what to do for this problem.
These are not very forgiving aircraft for a second plane after a trainer. The UltraStick behaves much differently than one with a wing shape as the Giles 202 does. If you fly this to slowly on approach, you may not be very happy with what happens next.
You may be wise to put this one aside until you get a little more understanding on how to assemble it and then how to fly it.

Your plane appears to be a different "vintage" than the one in the review which is a couple of years old. Any chance you can scan/photo and post pictures of the various parts and/or manual pages? Silly question I hope but are you sure it's a Phoenix Giles? Gotta ask ya know.
Nathan (Plane Insane) did the review, maybe he would remember something if you PM'd him.
