Default Reciever slots

Does the Receiver that comes with the RTF Hangar 9 Alpha 60, have an extra slot in the receiver. Im asking because Im getting one of the voltwatch things, and it requires a slot. I need to know If I need a Y-harness to hook it in the batt. slot with the battery.

You can hook that to any empty slot in the receiver. If all of the channel slots are full you can hook it in with a Y-harness, like you said in your post.

The Alpha 60 comes with a JR 700 Receiver. 7 Channels. You will have two slot vacant, I think.

Shortymet55,
The manual for this RTF package is available online, so you can read through it yourself. You can find the manual here; [link]http://www.hangar-9.com/ProdInfo/Files/han2600-manual.pdf[/link]

But to answer your question. The receiver that comes with this package is the [link=http://www.horizonhobby.com/Products/Default.aspx?ProdID=JSP30600]JR RS600[/link] , 6 channel receiver. This means there are 6 "slots" in the receiver. You will only need 4 of those for the servos in this trainer (1 aileron servo, 1 rudder servo, 1 elevator servo, and 1 throttle servo), plus 1 for the battery connection for a total of 5. This leaves one empty channel/slot in which you can plug your VoltWatch in to. So you will not need a Y-harness

Hope this helps

Ken

No, Minn had already volunteered me for that. Said something about him knowing the way to Tony Packo's, or some such as that!!!

Oops Ken, If you look closely at the picture in the link you gave you will see the RS600 actually has 7 "slots" labeled ail, elev, throttle, rud, gear, AUX1 and lastly battery.

Bruce,
Indeed you are right. I stand corrected. There are 7 slots/channels available.
