It seems that when you get the ARF, or PNP as a whole... there is always a fuse or a wing that was poorly assembled. When I bought the replacement fuse for my PTS Mustang, it was perfect. Hmmm... I wonder if it is a factory ploy to have you spend more money on a part, meaning they do a better job with the replacement parts than the whole ARF/PNP as a whole?

Nawww, It must be all in my head. [sm=spinnyeyes.gif]

I just feel that new planes that haven't flown yet shouldn't have patches, another fuse is just $65... and I bet you it will look perfect too. [:@]

One other thing to consider is the temperature of your heat gun. Ultracoat is an excellent covering but it shrinks at a lower temp than Monokote. If the gun is too hot, it can cause the edges to pull. I've had it happen on my own covering jobs. You just have to be careful.

Will do... I guess it takes practice. Any of you ever did that with a brand new ARF? Boy, I'm glad I have a good job to pay for what I need. It's good to have extra fuses, so I can practice my covering skills. Extra parts is never a bad thing in my book.

Just to be clear, LuftwaffeOberst, I have not had a problem with the covering pulling away at it's seams causing me to have to patch a new ARF. My issues have all been in the glue joints and I have come to expect that I will have to shrink wrinkles out of the covering.
