Default ac/dc converter

I have a battery charger that has clips for a 12V battery. I am looking for a way to plug it into the AC wall.
I would like a normal wall plug with positive and negative poles {kind of like a car battery} where i can clip the 12V clips onto. This way I could use it for both home and battery use. Any suggestions?

Use this link, [link]http://web2.murraystate.edu/andy.batts/ps/powersupply.htm[/link] , to find instructions for converting a PC power supply to provide you with 12v for your charger.

Hope this helps

Yup, get a power supply.

They are around 60-100$ and well worth the money. Get at LEAST a 10 AMP PS. OR, if you know what you are doing, a computer power supply will work VERY well, you just need to solder some connectors or bananna jacks to the right leads and mount it in a box to keep everything straight and mobile.

[link=http://www.rcbatteryclinic.com/]R/C Battery Clinic[/link] has a page that describes using PC power supplies as a power source.

Here is a 350 watt PS for $8. This is about as big as they come.

Make friends with a local computer shop!!! Trust me, I know first hand because my wife and I own a computer shop. We have boxes and boxes of used computer supplies in our tech area. Explain to the shop what you need one for and I'm willing to bet they'll give you one for free, or for just a few bucks. Always worth asking.

Jigeye,
Go to Ebay and search for 12V power supply.
I've got a 13 amp unit I paid less than $30 for.
There are several on there. Some of the freights are high because they are coming from China.
Also, one person convering and selling PC power supplies.
Good Luck,
