I posted this in the futaba area and have yet to get a response so thought I would try here....just got my futaba 9c and am going to install tomorrow...was wondering for some mixing like to have flaperons or make use of the air brakes....what would the servo to reciever hook up need to be like?

the reciever to servo set up will be like nomal except you may have to use a different channel on the reciever ie elevator is 2 instead you'd use 7. however if you're a beginner stick with the basics for now

And the book that came with the radio is worth reading.
The best trick of all is to always take the book to the field with you. You're going to need it out there more often than you need it at home.
If you don't have one, then see if it's available for download and print the sucker out and take that to the field when you go.

On my 6 channel Futaba (don't know if the 9c is the same) the aileron servos hook up 1 in channel 1 and 1 in channel 6 for flaperons.
Although I see no need for them, a Y harness to channel one is all I need. If I want to play with flaps I fly an airplane that has them.
