JR buddy box question
#27

My Feedback: (1)
Sorry again, AT. I used the Airtronics RD6000 as the main TX and the Airtronics buddy box as the... well, as the buddy box. It did NOT need nor have a battery in it. The RD6000 did.. of course, have a battery else it probably would not have worked
Don't mix apples with oranges here. I did not state that I was using another TX as a buddy box, I simply stated a buddy box. And the main post simply said 'Buddy Box' in which case, as RCKen said, if it was a JR, then it needed a battery. The other 'buddy boxes' did not, do not.
My futaba buddy box is new. Has the square connector on the back versus the old style round connector. It does NOT hava battery. And I use it with the Futaba basic non-computerized radio for the Hobbico Super Star to teach students.

I also carry the various brands needed to hook up a student for a training session. I've been training students since about 1974.
The point of my post was not to discuss your chest thumping that you train
The point is that it makes no difference, at all, if you use a computer radio as a buddy box.

You want to make that point, then don't start off with something like, "No one I know is going to buy a specific trainer box to help out a new person that shows up." You issued the challenge. And mentioned the quality of your friends. And now insult the people you feel are chest thumping. Very often, what a person says about others simply gives insight into themselves.
Great point about using almost any radio as a buddy box. What was all the rest for? bashing others?

No challenges at all.
I certainly didn't mean to tick anyone off. My initial response was to the comment that anyone that would use a computer radio buddy box does a student a disservice and not training them fully. And that is simply not the case. However, training a new pilot is always good, no matter how you get that done.
No glove was ever thrown down. It is obvious though that the
in everyone else's post is not the same as mine. Anyhow you folks take it as you see fit. I'll not use anymore bandwidth posting in the thread

I need some help over here! I have an XP7202 JR transmitter and the S400 JR buddy box. I cant for the life of me figure out what settings they need to be on. I have the trainer cord plugged in and the batteries charged but it will not switch control from the s400 to the 7202. I have the servo switches matched and the 7202 has been in all trainer modes but when I flip the trainer rocker on the s400 it does not take control.... This is makeing me crazy HELP!!!!!![:@]

Which switch on the 7202 is used to control the trainer mode? and does it need to be programmed that way?

http://www.horizonhobby.com/ProdInfo...o_Manualv2.pdf Page 38 tells how to set up the trainer section and the switch is clearly labled on the top left of the box above the stick.
