Yes we have the same bomb drops in the US. And they are fun. I put paint balls in them and loosely put them together. This makes a cluster bomb.

I used to have multiple Vortec bombs on a plane back in the early 80's. We'd fill it them with flour and they would make a nice white clound and spot on the ground when they hit. Midwest Sweet Stiks would carry 5 of the with no problem - 2 under each wing and one under the fuselage.

Here is a vid of the bomb bay I added to my Tower Hobbies trainer. It ended up working pretty well. t just took alot of trial and error to get the doors to work right.

old thread but here is an addition. The fisrt one is seen early in this thread, LT 40 with modified rudder and 1/2 of the recomended dihedral. The next on is a Spad LT 40 I built for my nieces. They are in high school and college now so I got it back in WELL USED condition. Several poorly made glue repairs etc. Well my LT got caught by an Ozark Jumping Oak. So I blended the two planes. Refixed the fuse and repainted it. It looks a tad weird but it is lighter than a stock LT 40 and flys quite well. I have a set of floats for it also. Wings and tail of the first added to the fuse of the second, recovered of coarse.

Hey,
Just for an FYI the wing on the final version has been rebuilt four times now. The LT 40 is VERY easy to fix IMHO. But I usually won't do a major rebuild after the third redo. Minor repairs can go on forever[8D]

Hey OzMo, do you have any info on the stand in your first picture. I tried to get a better look but the photo is kind of small. Thanks in advance.
