Hi all,
Can anybody offer any help to this problem:
I have a EasyGlider, Hitec optic 6, Hitec Electron 6 rx, hitec crystals and a 4 cell battery pack.
When i switch it all on it doesnt work. However if i just flick the rx power on and off (I know you probally shouldnt do this) the servos jump, does this mean anything?
Cheers,
Matt

I'll ask the two most obvious questions.
Is the transmitter RF module on the same frequency as the receiver?
The Electron 6 is a dual conversion receiver. Is your receiver crystal dual conversion?

Something else...
Have you fully charged (12 to 14 hours on the wall charger) the transmitter and receiver batteries? If not, do that before anything else. Without a good charge it will be very hard to troubleshoot for other issues.

If your servo's jump when you turn on the receiver then center right up with no additional movement or being jitterish, there is nothing to worry about. I've had many planes that do that. If they are jittery after you turn on your RX with the TX on, then you need to look at other issues.

The "obvious" questions had to be asked. I'm running out of ideas.
Is it a powered glider?
If so it may have a safety switch of some sort. If there is an ESC it probably has a specific arming sequence you have to follow.
If it isn't one of those things, I am stumped. Hopefully other ideas will come. Is there a flying club or good gobby shop near you where you can get hands on assistance?

I almost hate to say this but............... In the U.S there a 2 different versions of the Hitec Electron 6 rx available. Can you tell us EXACTLY which one you have? Did you tell the shop when you ordered the RX that it was going to be used with a Hitec TX? Can I assume correctly that this is a Hitec TX built for use in Europe? Not a U.S. version? You've been having so many problems I'm just grasping at straws now.

Two other common suggestions are to make sure you are using PPM (FM) not PCM, and to make sure the shift setting is right for the RX (assuming that the Optic can be selected). Good Luck!

you really are not learning are you?you have had a mountain of problems which are all your own doing.plenty of people have tried to help but you are not taking advice.here is the remedy in plain and simple english.hitec 35 mhz tx with charged battery, hitec 35 mhz rx,charged rx battery, matching crystals, dual or single conversion for the rx depending on model,tx in right mode, ppm or pcm.servos in right slots in rx,battery in right slot and it will work.taking it into a shop and getting them to get it to work when you have been buying parts off ebay would get you shown to the door double quick if i was the proprietor.i know i am sounding harsh but i feel you are needing a good kick up the butt!

Yes, they are all the same product but I think basically Bigchap is saying go back and read the suggestions and since you bought from eBay the shop is not obligated to help you (though most shops are friendly enough to do so).
One last thought I had was is the RX crystal in the RX, TX in TX?
Good luck and signing off.

you stated you have dual conversion crystals which indicates you have more than 1,you aren't putting a dual conversion crystal in the tx are you?

transmitters are not single or dual conversion, receivers are.if you have a dual conversion crystal in your tx it will say so on the little label.if you do then that is your problem.if not then check your tx is set to the correct shift,i checked on the optic 6 and it is switchable between negative and positive shift, hitec receivers are available in negative and positive shift.just make sure the 2 match.

The TX does NOT have a conversion issue. If you have a "dual conversion" crystal is it, that is your problem. It needs a TX crystal and they are different than RX crystals.

Can't use same crystal in both positions.
