ok, so the replies I got on the SU-31 basically pointed out it might be a little too much for me to handle right now. So... I did some more research and found this one.

I mainly think it might work better because of the mid-wing design compared to the low wing design of the SU-31.
What do you guys think about this one?

The Extra 300S is a good airframe for folks looking to step up from a low-wing trainer. The airframe design is very aerobatic, but it is still very stable. The Extra 300S should make a great "third" airplane.

None of the models listed in your profile are typically considered beginner planes.
If you're very comfortable flying your E-Flite Mini Ultra Stick, I'd think the Extra should be manageable.
From what I've been told, transitioning from lightweight electric planes to glow powered ones does take getting used to. I'd have a very experienced pilot do the maiden flight, and possibly buddy box me on my first flight or two.
