Hi,
I'm getting ready to order a 60 size warbird (BH Models T028 Trojan), and trying to decide what kind of servos I need.
Can I get by with some fairly low end servos (like S3001 or HS-425BB) with 42oz/in holding power? Or do I need to step up to higher end servos?
Can I get cheap servos let's say for throttle and flaps and better ones for ailerons, elevators and rudder?
Thank you for your feedback and recommendations.
Remy

I use futaba stuff mainly but the 3004 or equivalent will do just fine http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...&I=LXVW07&P=SM

Many thanks for all the replies.
Do you think I'd get bored with a warbird? I currenlty fly a Mini Ultra Stick. It's a fun electric 40" wingspan sport plane. I am interested in getting a larger ship, 60 size glow. I like to the warbirds for the scale look and flaps.
The other option I'd consider is somethink like the Great Plane Revolver or similar.
Thank you for your feedback.

Hello Remy:
There is plane which is supposed to fly very well and it has flaps, the Phoenix Tiger 60. Also, it's quite cheap.
I hope that helps.
Bye, Ian

What ever servo you get, make sure it's a ball bearing servo. Over time bushing servo's can wear which can lead to slop and possibly flutter. The Futaba S3004 servo will work fine for your application.
