i picked up a megatech freedom flyer because it said fun to fly, easy to fly, ready to fly.so far the only flying it did when it actualy got off the ground was about 75 feet tipping the wings from side to side the whole way.after that it appears to me the plane is to heavy to leave the ground.the only lift off i can get now is take off into the wind then it either takes a hard left or right immediately after take off (about 1 to 2 foot in the air) has any one else had this bad luck.i email megatech and got no response at all.i have flown glow trainers before and they are no trouble to get into the air.this thing is just a pain in the @$$/wasnt wort the $130 i paid for it for sure.is it posible i just got a bad plane?

I have flown 2 MT Freedom Flyers. They both flew well even in relitively high winds. While I do not like foam planes these at least come with a radio that can be buddy boxxed.

I finally realized (I said I was no expert, remember?) a heavy plane has to be going faster to stay in the air. The next time we launched, I threw the plane much harder. Son of a gun! The thing climbed out and flew with no problems! We have a lot of flights on it now, with no problems. The key is to get the plane going quickly before you take off. The motor has plenty of power, but you have to keep the speed up.
The plane is REALLY tough, BTW. An excellent plane for a beginner. My grandson loves the plane. Thanks; Ernie P.

Your trim and C.G. is off.
A properly balanced and trimmed plane will not nose dive when given a firm forward toss.
Instead it will glide to the ground a good 15-25 feet or more.
That is why I suggest a more experienced flyer look it over. You have more than one thing wrong.
A nose dive indicates either a lot of weight in front, or too much nose down trim.
That it noses UP so quickly at launch tends to indicate that there is either too much weight towards the rear, or that the elevator is trimmed up too much, or the thrust angle is wrong on the motor.
An experienced eye will spot which of these seemingly conflicting problems is to blame.

it may be the thrust angle, because the front of the fuselage is so soft from the thin plastic and the couple nose dives it has taken probably worked a number on it also.the prop does seem to be tilted foward more then it should.

That would still not account for a power off nose dive.
With the power off, if the plane is given a firm forward toss, it should glide to the ground.
