I had a fuel leak inside my plane yesterday and need some help. I know how to take care of the wood, but the fuel is all over the battery, switch, receiver, and servo wires. Can anyone offer any tips on how to best clean up the electronic parts, and will everything be safe to use.
Any help will be appreciated.

The electronics generally survive a fuel soaking pretty well. I'd wipe everything down with some detergent and water just to get the oil off. Battery and wires will be unaffected. If the switch got soaked, you'd like to get the oil out of it. I'd remove it and swish it around in some alcohol and then let it dry out.

Auto parts stores also sell electronic cleaner, just be carefull as they usually put the brake and carb cleaner there also and you don't want that. I keep a can of electronic cleaner on my work bench and use it often, just be carefull not to spray it on clear plastic ( canopies). ENJOY !!! RED
