Years ago I used to fly some ballistic pattern. I've been wanting to get back into pattern so I purchased a Venus II as my trainer after watching a gent out of Ft. Lauderdale win advanced class with that bird. So I figured it would be a good enough airplane to get me along the way. Not expensive with parts and new airframes readily available. Not very far along the way yet, but Rome wasn't built in a day!
There is going to be a Senior Pattern event at our club in October that I'm going to attempt to fly. They are including ballistic in the event so I'm planning to fly my old King Kobra in the event. We'll see how it goes.
