Tower Trainer 40 covering

I received a Tower Trainer 40 ARF for my grandson. The covering is wrinkled in many places. Do you know if it can be taken out with the heat gun or the sealing iron. I don't believe that it is monokote or ultracote. Don't want to make it worse than what it is. Thanks

Like he said.
A heat gun is my preferred way of doing this, as it is much quicker and results in a better final result, since you end up heating a larger area at once.
I use a covering mitt as well, to help make sure that the covering adheres properly as it cools.
But seams are a big problem with heat guns.... so I try to first go over the seams with an iron, then work on the big areas with the heat gun.

What ever kind of covering they use it is sticky on the bottom or underneath side of the covering. Almost like shelf paper. Was afraid that it would not shrink. Thanks for the info.

About every ARF will come in this condition. Climate change from where it was covered, where it was stored and where it's destination is all effect the covering.
As others suggested, take an iron or a heat gun to it. I Use iron on the seams and the gun on areas without the seam, seams to work well

I had the same problem with the covering on my TT. After the 10th flight of so, I had to reseal it after every single day at the field. A tipbut some clear fingernail polish over all the seams on the side your exhaust is on after you seal it all back down. That will prevent the cockpit shape and the trim stripes that run all the way down from coming off.

Geeze!! the heat gun and iron worked great. I have a TH trainer 60 and the covering on that is different than on the 40. When you take it off it is sticky on the back side and seems much heavier than towercote. It does not shrink well.
