Don't feel bad. I have friends/family that live in Galveston.

Anyway, I stopped at the LHS, picked up some foam and rubber bands to wrap the tank, and some fuel dots. I'm going to run a three line system after all. Should be no biggie, right?

As I said in earlier post to yours great deal but guesss you went overboard on getting what you needed to get it in air. For your fuel lines best and simplest arrangement is just a 2 line system. One is your ( vent / pressure) other comes from tank through 1/4 inch hole in cowl that will connect ( by means of a short pc. of brass tubing) to a line coming through another hole in cowl from carb. No need for t's. I use colored fuel line, red / green so I know which line is one going to tank for fueling. Be sure to get your CG where it belongs very important with bipe. I'm not familiar with the connector from the airtronics servos but should fit in a Futaba Rx? I fly JR and the Futaba servo connectors don't fit due to the polarity tab on one side but they are easily modified to go into JR RX. Wireing on all servos is same just colors of wires different.

Well, now that I think I have everything I need to get this biplane ready, I started setup.
I measured the distance between the front of the firewall and the front of the cowl - 5 1/8 inches.
Then I mounted the fuselage vertically and removed the cowl. It looks like the engine compartment is already coated with epoxy. The fuel compartment isn't though so that's on the list to do tomorrow.
I'll also start 'dry mounting' the engine with the engine mount so that the thrust washer is about 1/16 to 1/8 further out than the 5 1/8 inches I measured. Does this sound right?
I'm thinking from the firewall, see photo, the previous engine was mounted with the engine head on the left side as viewed from the front. I say that because the throttle cable tube is low and to the left. That's the way I'm thinking I want to mount this too.

Well, jump ahead a bunch of months and voila, I have the Ultimate done and flown for the first time! It flew great and I will try and post some pics and a video soon.
I also recently purchased an electric biplane, the Reactor from Great Planes. That should be ready probably in the next month or so.
And I picked up a used Great Planes PT-17 Stearman which was in excellent shape. Hope to have that ready to fly next week. Just needs a receiver.

Way to go cappaj1! It's about a year since the first post. I work kinda slow too. My 1/4 scale Cermark Pitts S2B is still sitting in my hobby room collecting dust while I wait to get the 26cc gas engine repaired.

Hey there, thanks! I put a used OS Max 120 Surpass in it and I love it so far. Plenty of get up and go! Takeoffs are really easier with it than anything I've flown so far because of the extra umph it has.

Way to go cappaj1... once bitten by the "Bipe Bug" there is no turning back.
I started off with my Balsa USA Phaeton 90, then a World Models Ultimate 40, Then a Sig Hog Bipe and will be adding a Midwest Pitts Special soon.
Cheers Curt
