Default Aileron Question?

I know this is kind of a dumb question, but which way are the ailerons supposed to move with a right or left command. I have been out of planes for a while and I cant remember and I dont have a manual with my plane to reference. I dont want to crash on my maiden flight because I have the aileron direction reversed. Any response would be greatly appreciated.

Default RE: Aileron Question?

For a right turn the right aileron should go up and the left one should go down. For a left turn the left aileron should go up and the right one down.

A good way to keep track of ailerons it "thumbs up". Right aileron, right thumb up, right aileron up. Left aileron, left thumb up, left aileron up.
