I flew my plane yesterday, good takeoff, good landing , but when I throttled back the engine quit on approach. When I fueled it up again, it would not start. I checked the glow plug which was ok. The engine was not flooded. Any ideas? I was using a starter so it had plenty of rotation to start. 65 LA engine. It always started easy before.

If you drip some fuel into carb throat does it start or kick. It might be possible when it quit it sucked something in the throat and clog the fuel passage.

Before pulling the tank try flushing out your needle valve. Hook your fuel pump up to the fuel intake on the carb. Remove the needle valve and close the throttle completely. Pump some fuel through which should shoot out of the needle valve hole. Reassemble and try starting the engine again. If you still have problems running check the tank as mentioned above.

Because I'm an advocate of trying the easy fixes first, I would just check your clunk. You say you had a good landing, but they also say, "any landing you can walk away from is a good landing". I guess that would translate, in our RC world to, "any landing where you don't have to repair your plane is a good landing" I'm just trying to say that even a slightly rough landing might have thrown your clunk ahead, and pinched off your fuel draw. It's a lot easier to check than hauling out your tank first, only to find, all you had to do was shake your clunk back into position.
