Must be a slow seller. They're $7.09 now.

Nothing wrong with them. They are light and output 6v.

Higher capacity would have been nicer though ( at least 2000mAh for my liking ).

Of course you could always hook up two in parallel and get both capacity and a cheap price.

These are Ok to run in a 40 sized glow plane right?? I just want to make sure before I buy a bunch of them!

Yeah I've run them on 40's.

At that price I'm also considering purchasing about a dozen of them and using them two to a plane ( you can hook up two via a "Y" cable! ).

This will double the capacity, but the batteries would have to be charged separately outside the plane.

Remember that at 6v a single pack will last about as long as a 4.8v 800mAh pack neither of which is bad, but I prefer to be able to get 14+ flights in on a good day at the field!

so a 6v 1400 will last as long as a 4.8v 1400?

i would think a 6v 1400 would last a little less than a 4.8v version.
but then again those pesky amps screw everything up, does a servo really draw that much more (amps) at 6v?

Yes, you are right. Higher voltage batteries actually won't last as long as the same sized lower voltage pack. If you want to increase the time you can use a battery then you need increase the millamp rating. Higher voltage batts are good because they increase the speed and strength of the servos.

No that is not what I said.

I said: "that at 6v a single pack ( the one you posted the link to ) will last about as long as a 4.8v 800mAh pack

Correct.

Yup another reason you want additional capacity, to sustain the additional draw.

The upside is that the higher amp draw tends to occur only in bursts, so while you want to allow for it, the relative impact does not have a linear relationship in the realworld.

i got a little confused. i asumbed you ment 6v at 800 mah. sorry i read that wrong

so will a 6v 1400 mah battery about the same as a 4.8v 800 mah? (is that what you ment)
just asking so i know how much flight time i have.

Roughly yes.

The less binding there is on the linkages, the longer the flight time from the battery as the servos need to do less work.
The greater the mechanical advantage, the longer the flight time as well.
