Hello,
I'm in the middle of building a Great Planes .20 size Piper Cub. I'm installing an OS .30 4-stroke. The directions say that side mounting is recommended but inverted is possible. Is there a good reason why I would not want to mount the engine inverted as opposed to side mounted? Will the engine still run the same?
Thanks!

tpallas,
Your 4-stroke will run just fine inverted. I know lots of guys who fly with an inverted 4-stroke and have no issues at all, and they don't have any glow drivers attached to them either. If you do use the inverted mounting, you'll also be able to add cylinder details to both sides which will look a lot better too.
