Hi, Being a newcomer to electric flight, can someone answer what might seem a stupid question to the enlightened. I've got a Cessna Skymaster and I'm thinking of going electric with it. As it's a twin motor, do I need 2 ESC's or can I use just the one? Thanks.

carl,
if its 2 brushless motors then you need an esc for each motor. and then you need to disable 1 of the bec's (battery eliminating circuit ) on 1 esc.
very easy to do just remove the red wire from 1 of the esc's (slip the pin out with a small flat screwdriver) and tape it back , that way you can use it again by simply putting it back in.
or use a small extension and clip the red wire on it and tape it back. much better than cutting the esc wire

When using 2 ESCs please buy something branded if you can. I have seen cheaper ESC not in sync when used in twin power set ups. You will get less power in one motor compared to the other.
