Heres my ol' reliable. This was one of my favorite planes. I sold it to fund my SIG Somethin' Extra project. Shortly afterwards, the guy who bought it put it straight in! I miss this plane.

One of the hardest things to do was learn to go straight down a runway!! Great plane has a OS 46 AX on it, a little over kill maybe but plenty of power for any trouble situations.

RE: post pics of your trainer planes!
I haven't flown my trainer for about 3 years and decided to put it back into rotation. I started flying it again and got bored again also and decided then to change it up some. So I changed the color scheme slightly (blue stripe is now black if you didn't notice), put a Saito 72 with a APC 13x8 prop up front, did the bolt-on-wing conversion, maxed out the control surface throws and recently converted to a taildragger. It is so much fun now, but it still flys the same which is very easy but a little more responsive. I basically created a "Hobbico SuperStar Stick".
I was flying the plane yesterday and had the plane hovering. It will start to torque roll and did two complete revolutions, but will not stay there long due to the dihedral and small control surfaces even though they are maxed out. Several members are now considering converting their trainers into a TD. If you are a seasoned pilot, then I suggest playing around with your trainer as I did to make it more fun, but the cool thing is that it is still a trainer when it needs to be. I never really like the circus color scheme before. **Photos below show a MAS 13x6** BEFORE... http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/upfi...77/Ki18087.jpg AFTER... http://www.rcuniverse.com/forum/upfi...77/Cx75345.jpg |

I don't really have a trainer, but I have a couple of old Superstars-from-hell. This one hits 75 mph on the level, has unlimited vertical & can knife-edge to the moon & back.

LT40 with lots of color. Makes the plane look even bigger than it is. It survived my training, my sons, and 3 of his friends. Sold it after we won an LT25 in a club contest and found out how much better that plane is in the wind. [8D]

RE: post pics of your trainer planes!
Has never really been used as a trainer, more a transitional between electric and glow.
http://homepages.nildram.co.uk/~tux/...lete/tiger.jpg Pretty much stock with an Irvine .40 on the nose and re routed fuel tubes and the side stripes replaced with strips that don't have a glue that dissolves in glow fuel... so nothing very exciting, doesn't really need it :) Doesn't get flown all that often, but when it does it's mostly at WOT [>:] :D Makes for a nice change of pace from the 3D machines ****edit**** Oh, and the side stripes now go all the way to the nose [:-] |

Here's my Nexstar. This is my second one and I took much of the dihedral out and added wing struts. Looks MUCH nicer I think.
