Hi,
Can anyone tell me if i would be able to replace the pullstart with a back plate without changing the crankshaft. i currently have the engine with the rotary carb. Being used in a Hpi rs4
Please do highlight if there are any other requirements.
im planning to get this http://www3.towerhobbies.com/cgi-bin...?&I=LXJPZ5&P=Z

ya will also need the gasket set for the tz18 ya gotta pull the crank and cut the pull start pin off the crank, be very careful not to hit the rod journal with the dremel tool, use a piece of fuel tubing cut to lenght and slip it over the journal so it saves the journal if you do slip. i have 2 os cv15's and 2 cv18's that are non pull start conversions. i think a motor idles and holds tune better with a solid backing plate.
