Masher 2000 tyres will fit fine. As for the fuel, get whatever your LHS carries in stock and go for either 16% or 20%. It doesn't make a huge amount of difference which brand you go for. Personally I have been using Tornado 20% for about a year and the truck has been great on it.

STC, over the past three years I have used Byrons, Model Technics, Tornado and O'Donnell. I have to say that it has made absolutely no difference whatsoever to the cars performance. Oil percentages and nitro content make a difference, not the sticker on the bottle. JMO.

So I am wrong, the sticker on the bottle does make a difference? All the fuels I mentioned in my previous post are reputable fuel manufacturers, the difference between them is so insignificant as not to matter at all. I know because I have used them all. If you have had good results using a particular type of fuel, thats great. I have had good results using four different types of fuel and have come to the conclusion that if you go for a 'known' reputable brand such as the ones stocked in any LHS, you will be fine as long as the percentages are correct. As stated in my first reply to the original question.

For a new person getting into the hobby the most imortant thing is that they follow the manufacturers recomendations for fuel. In the case of the NT16 use 20% nitro with an 18% SCOB (synthetic castor oil blend).
Bryon's, Wild Cat, and Blue Thunder are about the only independent fuel manufacturers left.
Trinity, Traxxas, XTM, Duratrax, O'donell's and a whole host of others are made by one manufacturer. Any store bought fuel that is 20% nitro with a 18% SCOB is going to be fine.
I have ran in my NT16 Trinity, Traxxas, and O'donell's with no performance difference what so ever.
In my opinion the only problems you are going to have with fuel is if it is garage made or made by a real small manufacturer that is not well known. The quality of the chemicals are all the same the only differance is going to be the quality of the manufacturers facility.
If there is only one brand of fuel that you want a recomendation for I would say O'donells 20% RTR fuel.

I am gonna throw Wildcat onto the table as a "great" fuel. I tried it and am still on it. Well worth the 16 bucks a gallon. Sure beats spending 26 bucks on Trinity monster horsepower when you get better performance out of wildcat

Unfortunatley you can't get Wildcat at some places. Finding it on the west coast is kind of a rarity. I have heard good things about it and wouldn't mind trying it but it is not sold locally.

yeah the wildcat eliminator is actually a great race fuel ive been running the 30% in my jp racing .21 p5 and no problems at all. engine runs good temps. stays in tune, not a whole mess of residue left over like you end up with when you run blue thunder(garbage). before i was a hardcore odonnell guy but im leaning toward the wildcat now. everyone else i race with all run and swear by byrons, one of them is sponsored by them and loves and raves about it.so stick with the good big names is what i say and stay away from the blue thunder if possible. haha

I have been running wildcat for the past year in all my trucks with no problems.. except. i can't find it for 16 a gallon... I spent about 24.. still liked it.. I used to run blue thunder also with good results.. I tried traxxas, but a bit pricey and no performance gain... My only grip with blue thunder was the green slime left over dripping out of the pipe.. left more of a stain than the wildcat

I have tried nearly all fuels with a 30% nitro content. The exception to everything listed would be the Traxxas, I never tried it. For the most part, they are similiar, but not the same. Wildcat is made here in KY. One of the stores here sells almost exclusive Wildcat. Also Wildcat theoretically makes Trinity Monster HP. I can tell you that all I run is Trinity Monster HP 30%, nothing else. It will make a huge difference in HP on some engines like Pico, and moderate gains on other engines. I can also say that Wildcat is on the very bottom of my list. Maybe I had a bad batch, I don't really know, but I actually threw out 1/2 gallon of it. My engines are easier to tune with this fuel. O'Donnell is what all my Serpent buddies swore on, I tried it, and it is a good fuel, just not as good as Trinity Monster HP IMHO. BTW, I also buy it by the case (price break), if that's any indication of how much fuel I go through, and have 7 gallons or so right now.
I was listing high dollar fuels, and demand maximum power out of what I have. If you are new and just playing around, any of the fuels should work for you, so get whatever is cheapest at your LHS. I would avoid a real high oil content though. It can cause problems. I also prefer synthetic or synthetic blend, as too much castrol can build up. Ultimately the choice is yours, and there are a lot of good opinions in here.
