Maybe I'm too innocent but I though that by removing the screw on the engine that supossedly hold the carburator, I would be able to take it off.
NOT.
I have been struggling with it for 2 days with no luck. Don't want to force it. It must have some type of a ringed tube so I don't want to rip those rings off the carb.
Then, if it is so hard to take it off, it must be harder to put it back in.
Any pointers?
Thanks,

If you have removed the lock nut carb(gs70357-05)totally then you must just with a bit of pull and wiggle it will come undone. They are fairly tight in the housing but you will be able to do so,ask someone to hold the engine while you pull. The o-ring is at the top so don't worry about ripping it.
Why do you want to take off if i may ask?
If you reinstall the carb, use a bit of afterrun oil on the carb housing and it will go in easy.

thanks runX. I'll try that.
I want to take it off because the carb barrel twists at will and one time it got stuck wide open, fortunately it ran out of gas almost immediately.
I know there is a wedge or 'canal' on the barrel and that it also has sort of an elongated "hole on another side of the barrel.
Don't know how to fix this but I do know it shouldn't be wiggling around. I checked the nut that holds the piece that connects it to the servo mechanism and it is not lose, so it is something inside that is not holding the barrel in place.
Any ideas/suggestions are welcome.

O.k i see.I had the same problem with my carb. The silver metal sleeve that you will see when you remove the carb comes loose and then the the carb twist and that is why it moves.I took a longer bolt with a washer where the the original bolt use to be and thightened it all up but be carefull not snap it off.

RunX, what bolt are you talking about? the one that is used to adjust the idle?
and, which "canal" does the idle screw goes into? the slim one that goes across the length of the barrel, or the short, deeper one that is closer to the end of the sleeve?
also, when I look down to into the carburator hole, should the end of the sleeve look concave or straight?
seems I got myslef into a pain in the ***.

I thought the idle screw is the ne that goes into the canal and therefore prevents the sleeve to twist... is this incorrect?
