Hey guys! I'm new to this forum but i have had an mt2 for about 4 or so months now. Great truck!!! I do have one problem though. The truck will not idle for more than 10 - 15 seconds. I have tried every adjustment possible with the lsn, idle screw etc. if i set the idle any higher the truck begins to move without me touching the remote. I have tried different types of glow plugs and fuels. Is it possible that something is wrong with my engine?
THanks

Your high speed needle and low speed needle with also effect your idle. I would retune the motor and see if it helps. Sounds like the motor is loading up with fuel and choking out. These motors tend to do that. I have 1 truck that just will not idle. You have to tickle the throttle constantly to keep it running if it sits still. I might be able to fix it if I would take the time to tinker with it.
I would lean out your LSN just 1/8 a turn and see if that helps.

I'm pretty new to this. Just a few more questions. How much smoke should you see comming form the exhaust at idle? When you pick the truck up should the wheels be spinning without touching the gas or is my idle set too high?
Thanks

Smoke is dependant on what fuel you are using. I personally only used O'donnel RTR fuel in my CEN engine so I can only comment on the O'donnel. The O'donnel didn't smoke very much but I could see the oil dripping from the exhaust.

I was going to ask about the oil from the exhaust. I guess you are just one step ahead of me
I finally got the thing to idle. in the CEN book it suggest the lsn to be "flush", so i was trying within one turn of flush. Now i have it closer to 2 turns in and it seems to be working better. I'm debating whether to go for the CEN .18 rebuild or going to a .18 OS. Do you guys think the OS is worth the extra money?
Thanks for the tips guys!!

Yeah, it's definately not time yet. I used to have a T maxx and i have to say that after break in i didnt have a single engine related problem with it other than an occasional tuning so i didn't really gain much nitro experiance with it. However, I broke parts on it daily and it handled like a schoolbus compared to the CEN MT2.
