I finally did my full teardown of my matrix, and for the money I spent I am quite happy with all I have. The only part that I found that is broken that I am curious to know if anyone else has seen this is :
GS060 Differential Cover
Mine was snapped where the bearing goes over that little output part, I actually noticed it when I had this little part stuck in the bearing and compared it to the second diff I dissassembled.
Has anyone else seen this broken before?
I am going to order a new one, but just wanted to know or at least give a heads up for people to check this.

yeah cainlord i had the same problem. i dont know if it broke from me or if it was like that
from factory. all the diffs felt real notchy, i took them apart to shim and thats when i
noticed the bearing support was broke. i cant explain how it broke, there wasnt any crashes.
never had that problem with any other brands. i thought mine was a freak thing but maybe
not.

i honestly dont remember, maybe around 10 bucks. my lhs has a lot of matrix parts, thats how he talked
me into giving it a try. the only thing worse than breaking is not being able to find parts.

Thanks for the info. I looked on horizon's site but its out of stock till early march.
It probably won't affect anything as with how its assembled its pretty much crushed together anyway but i'll see if I can find another place that has it.
By the way, does your LHS sell things online or through the mail?

here is what I got about the part in question here:
I am going to box it up and send it off to them tomorrow. Hopefully I will get a replacement back soon. I just wonder if the other one I should send off as well.
Thanks for the email. I have heard of this issue before and we are looking into it in more detail. It is definately not a large % problem, however we still are doing everything we can to understand the issue. If you can mail us the part our R & D department would appreciate it. We will send you replacements upon recieving the broken item. Thanks again for your informative email.

Which ones broke for you guys? Front?
I haven't had a problem and I have bent both front hinge pins and broke the whole left front suspension off my car.

I am not sure as I had all of the diffs out to do a thorough cleaning and didn't make which was front versus rear.
