Hi all,
I have a cen racing fun factor 2 monster truck. This thing has given me a bunch of problems. The one thing I noticed was that just idoling for 10 seconds it spits out raw fuel. I put everything to the way it is supposed to be stock and this thing eats gas. Then when I lift the gascap while it is running the back pressure comming from the exhaust pipe spits fuel everywhere. I thing that the exhaust is causing this car to be a gas hog.
Any suggestions,
Thanks

way too rich... is it broken in yet? you should be getting a bit of blue smoke not fuel.... if its not broken in yet, then when you finish that, then tune it leaner..... hope this helps... please feel free to ask any questions and welcome to the forum..... You'll get alot of help here.

Whats the oil content of the fuel that you are using?
I have noticed that on high oil content fuels that unburned oil will drip out of the exhaust when the engine is not up to operating temperature or is idled for awhile.
It also might be a little rich on the low speed needle.

Have you checked your exhaust pipe to see if it is partialy plugged and sending to much pressure to the tank?
If the engine is flooding out while you are running it that is the only thing that I can think it might be. It wouldn't take that much of an obstruction to send excess pressure to the tank.

My oil content is Blue thunder fuel 20%. But I think the exhaust might be plugged because it has been sitting for a year and the gas probably jelled up inside of it.

If it has been sitting for a year you might need to tear the engine apart and clean it.
The search is down at the moment so here are the pics you requested.

mine only sate for 2 weeks the air filter is a bit dirt but not bad, but it can trie to clean it. Would this cause it to flood even thnough it is leaned out a lot?

Yes a dirty air filter can cause it to flood even a slightly dirty one. All you can see is what is on the out side of the filter you can't see what is in the inside. Try washing it out and re-oiling it.
Any exhaust obstruction will also cause it to flood as well.
Another possibility is that the glow plug is going bad. It may not be bad enough to stop it from starting but it can cause it to run irradically.

I think Azzman means use motor oil.
You can get filter oil at a auto parts store. The stuff they use for K&N air filters is the same stuff.

Hi,
Thanks to your guys suggestions the car runs good on fuel and it is fast. But the car sort of scares me. When I am on half throttle and the car is about to shift it seems that the car drives by itself for a few seconds and it seems like it can't make up its mind between first and second and it acts strange. Now I am afraid to drive it because my throttle got stuck wide open on this car when I first got it and then it got smashed up. Any suggestions why it acts strange.
Thanks, Gus

mulletman, that oil should work. Ideally what you need is some form of oil on it that won't dry so the dirt particles will stick to the filter better. You could probably use WD40 or some other spray lube also.
Bowlmaster14, it sounds like it is in between shifts. The rpm's are not high enough to full engage second gear. You could adjust the second gear engagement point for either an early shift or a late shift it depends on when you want it to shift.
I also recomend a failsafe. They are not that expensive and will help prevent run aways.
