Toyhaus did the same thing to me....
Billed me and then I waited about 2 weeks and never got the order, so I emailed and they said that the parts were still on backorder...[:@]
I haven't had any issues with customRC cars, and I have made a lot of orders through them. THey always email me back asap and sometimes throw in some little goodies with the order
Never had any custom issues to canada wtiht hem.
Headrushhobbies has been alright too, but I don't care much for toyhaus.

My experiences so far
Toyhaus - fast shipment overseas but high prices on parts and shipping
CustomRCcars - good prices on parts and shipping (takes 10-20 days to get here which is normal) and they did mark the package as gift so no VAT
Headrushhobbies - good prices on parts and shipping but you have to inquire by e-mail for a lot of parts not on the website
