ROTO START ON A NEW MOTOR

Hey guys, so after the fate my first NX-26 suffered I ebay-ed another brand new one last night. My ? now is at what point is it safe to install my existing roto tech starter onto my new motor. I HATE the pull starter!!! I have heard conflicting answers so any help is appreciated. thank you.

I believe that CEN says after a gallon it should be ok. The GST pull starter is probably a lot harder to pull then the 26 and I have no problems with pulling it, just use gloves.

matty did you buy a new nx 26 or a different brand motor we do recomend after a gallon installing that on the 7.7 but on the nx 26 you can install it right after break in,.

Ok ok...you're going to get several different opinions on this matter....
From a fellow RC dude who HATES pullstarts.... here's my experience:
After the 3rd tank through my NX-26 (when it DID run) I installed the Roto-start and
Result = No complications
I used to own a Jato 3.3 with a roto-start. Used it from the first fire up breaking it in.
Result = No complications
Now, I purchased the O.S. Engine I mentioned in your last thread. Used a roto-start from first fire up
Result = No complications
Oh yeah, Did I mention this is the same roto-start I've had for 2 years?
Yeah..you'll be fine. Keep the power source charged for the roto-start and do not operate it in one consistent shot for too long and it will last you a long time with any engine IMO.
