Carb problem HELP!!

I took the carb of my nemesis casue someone suggested i clean it and it might solve my running problems. Well anyways i unscrewed the screw on the engine that is supposed to "clamp" the carb onto the motor and i pulled off the carb. Now i can not put it back on! I need help this truck is driving me nuts!

The part in the block where the carb goes in, make sure the sleeve where the tightening screw goes isn't displaced or rolled inside there, this will keep the carb from going in easily. To check just use your finger and make sure all is cylindrical (if that's such a word) or round with out obstructions, back the screw out further to make sure. I hope this helps you.

I see your problem!!!! the lower sleeve of the carb came off!!! and now its stuck inside the block.. you will need a new carb. That may have been your problem to begin with, that sleeve being loose will allow air in. Remove that sleeve and insert new carb...

ok then its going to be more difficult, try to get a peice of metal or something that will span the hole and key into the two notches and try to turn it to see if you can loosen it...

used some needle nose pilers to wiggle/pull it out. So i guess i am screwed and the only way to make it work again is a new carb...

dose anyone watch ebay close and could tell me how much i can expect to pay for a carb? I see one as a buy it now for $50 and there is 3 others that are all auctions with over a day. Want to know what to except them to go to.

Good Job Nick!! yep you will need a new carb, glad I could help.. $50 is the average BIN I have seen them go for as little $12 but usualyy between $25 and $50

Yeah, just try to snipe one on an auction, I too have seen them go anywhere from 10-30 bucks. Sorry about that, never had that one happen before, sorry I couldn't help ya.
