It worked pretty good today. I think I have a handle on it now. I kept it under 220 and it didn't quit on me. Once it gets hot, to start I have to juice the throttle while pushing it on the starter box.
This hobby is a blast when things actually work.

If it's the sh.28 GOOD LUCK. I've had big problems tuning mine. I've spent hours & it still isn't right. To get it to run at all i have to have the bottom way rich turn ir in 1/8 turn & it won't run. Get it were it will run it bogs so bad it almost stalls. It has lots of high rpm power, but if it stalls coming out of turns who cares about top end? Next time i will not buy a RTR so i can pick my own engine.

I have found what works everytime. I got the OFNA truggy starter box CEN says their racers use. I took out the spacers on the engine mounts and dremeled the slot. I crank the engine at hign rpm without mercy to start it. When its hot I juice the throttle (while I spin it and spin it) I have never go home anymore because I can't start it. I would really recommend getting rid of the pull start ASAP and not trying a jury rig roto start. Be cruel with the starter box and it will always start.

With these SH .28s you hear both bad and good reviews. In my experience, the engine ran, and still runs, great. Ever since it started for the first time on the first pull, it has been awesome. My airfilter once leaked a bit, and there was dirt in the carb opening. The engine lost considerable pinch, but it still runs and makes decent power after 7 gallons.
