Hi David

I have my home stuff all moved in but still moving my motorcycle and machine shop stuff here. A few more storage units and shop stuff is waiting to be moved. I moved 10 truckloads so far.
We're building new shops and about another 6000 feet to make room to move the rest of the machines, spray booth, and inventory.
Still filling orders but its limited on some units. Almost caught up but a couple dozen orders still outstanding. I've got a sizeable area being drywalled now which should enable us to unpack a large amount of inventory and that will speed things up a lot. However it is going to be in the Summer before we get all move and up to full speed. Lots of new kits coming out then.
What have you got going?

Pat,

If you do get to the Beetle is it possible to design one for a side exhaust engine so the pipe can go down the side of the fuse. Would be way easier to setup for retracts as you could leave the tuned pipe on when putting on the wing or taking it off.

The other reason is you could use a standard header and tuned pipe. No special header needed.

Regards,
Bryan

Brian

I will see what I can do. Sounds like a good option. I've done the molds for the fiberglass version already but moving has taken all my time the last 8 months. Tenth load just arrived 4 days ago. About Five more loads to go.. I'm building a very large new shop here in Colorado.

I have many new kits that are soon to be announced. We are still making the foam and glass kits plus adding these laser cut versions that we all be complete kits many will have the glass cowls and clear canopies all included, of course it varies from kit to kit. I had so many request for complete kits that will be the direction I'm heading. I'm working toward releasing new kits all Summer and by Fall the list should be over a hundred kits.

Take Care
Don

Congratulations Don and Pat! I am looking forward to making some kit purchases later this year. It seems 'classic' pattern may soon become more popular than conventional/current pattern (if it hasn't already). More fun, less cost... Hmmmmmm, not too hard to figure out why :-)

Thanks Wil

It's been hundreds of hours for Pat and I to make this happen. Glad to see happy pilots/builders out there.

Don, what an impressive undertaking. Tremendous effort. I am in process of moving into retirement in Florida and that's just our immediate belongings. It's not a business. We are wiped out.

when you say laser cut kits what do you mean? Are they complete with all of the wood or only short kits? Built up wings and stabs and rudder or sheeted foam?

[MTK;

Matt, I think you overlooked some key phrases in Don's answer:

"I have many new kits that are soon to be announced. We are still making the foam and glass kits plus adding these laser cut versions that we all be complete kits many will have the glass cowls and clear canopies all included, of course it varies from kit to kit. I had so many request for complete kits that will be the direction I'm heading. I'm working toward releasing new kits all Summer and by Fall the list should be over a hundred kits."

So I don't think they're short kits. Great point about the built up or foam flying surfaces. That would be nice to know.

I am in the process of making most all of the Classic Pattern kits in two versions both will be complete kits less your engne, pipe, hardware, and radio stuff.
I will be selling foam and fiberglass kits that have the fiberglass fuse foam cores and all the sheeting, sticks, and laser cut parts to complete them.
I will also be selling all these Classic kits made all wood laser cut parts these are ribbed wings , stab, and all wood fuselage, These kits are for those that like to build wood kits. They may have a glass cowl and a clear canopy, etc. it varies from kit to kit.
As you may know many original came only as wood or only as Fiberglass, NOW you will have both! Take your pick..
hope that clears up things for everyone.
