OK, so this is inspiring guy uses wind power (the Dutch have plenty). It's amazing how fluid the operations are.

Dear Andy,
I just read the following in your thread about a Dutch guy

"And we thought they were all just crazy!"
That hurts, especially after The Dutch gave you guys all these small gifts like for example; "New York", and "Santa Clause"
Sorry Andy, I couldn't resist

Regards,
Gert (from The Netherlands)

Gents,
To have a much better impression of Dutch pattern flying, see time 8m20s.
Interesting is, I was there too as spectator, the pilot with the Kraft radio is Dutch pattern flyer, Koos Tromp.

Yes the Netherlands, too small to use wheels.

You gave us New Amsterdam. The Brits named it New York later

My sister is married to a Dutchman, and there's some family connection to one of the famous dikes.

Hi Andy,
You are right, it of course was called New Amsterdam at first.
I noticed that when I was in the States that not many people know, but I see that you know your history
And that you have a Dutchman in the family is very nice to hear, but the important question is "Does he fly classic pattern"
Have fun
Regards,
Gert

Well, Gert, at one time they actually taught American history in the schools. Now it's a social studies class where we learn how evil the barbaric European intruders were to the friendly, civilized Native Americans. Fortunately for my children, we home school and they get to learn other things that are verboten in public schools; memorizing the Preamble to the Constitution, Gettysburg Address, and Declaration of Independence.
