I finally glassed the center sections. I tried a couple of weeks ago, but the sanding dust just gave me fits. I had to take two antibiotics, one for the lungs and then for my sinuses. It has taken nearly a month to get over this plus still go to work in a steel mill.
I plan to glass the wings and stab, then cut out the fuse. and fit the stab. I'm on vacation this week so I will try and make progress.

Hi Ron,
My original AMA no. was 52329 back in the the early 70's when I was 8 or 9. I was flying U/Cs and just starting R/C. I had to get a HAM license back then also. I got out of the Navy in '85 and became a CD in '86, that is when I received my low number. At the time, they did have any of the three digit numbers available. I don't know if they still do the number change this day and age.

That's interesting ED I didn't know they would do that with numbers, they did reissued my original number to me after I was out for a time. Did you fly pattern in the 70's. I competed in the midwest late 60's to 80.

I didn't fly pattern, but did fly pylon a little. I didn't know what was more important then, planes, cars or girls

The tops are now glassed and setting up.

The stab is now set in place. It took a little time but is dead nuts on!!! Next up will be fitting the belly pan.
The second pic is my next pattern project. It will have a new NovaRossi R60F in the nose. I ordered from Leo and will take six weeks to get here from Italy. What is it?

Ed,
Nice work on the Illusion. The next build looks like a Vertigo II. Are you thinking NR RE with pipe down the side?
According to Tony F these designs (Vertigo/Phoenix) didn't fly too well with a pipe down the side. Slung under is better.
Put the NR in an Arrow, Bootlegger or Escape. [8D]

Hey Dave,
It is a Skyglass P-6. The NR is the FISE version so everything is under the the wing. I like to do thing backwards, I had a P-8 until it started to fall apart. I have a H9 P-7 now that I really like. Next will be the P-6 and I can get a P-5 later.

Nice - a P6. I guess I wasn't that far off. Always had difficulty telling them apart in the raw.
Ah, the Cesare Rossi SE series! I like those, they're supposed to be light. Does Nova make headers that are long enough to clear the fuse and wing? Maybe they went with standard exhaust spacing so Macs could be an option if needed.
What's going in for juice for the Illusion?
