I figured a nice OS 10 FSR, ST X11 or Webra 2.0 (12) would work its way into Ehsan's excellent work sooner or later... The Webra would be the most "period correct" of all. Actually the 2.0 is a RE little jewel while they also made a SE 1.8 (11). They were called Speedy's!

Actually it looks like NovaRossi makes a nice little RE 12 as well, the REF12. It comes in at 6.8 oz (195g). A 38-40" span 28 oz model might be more appropriate for it though.

Yes 6.8oz is a bit portly given that the norvel 074 is just less than 3oz and their 15 is under 5oz. Extra weight in the nose is never good for aerobics. I find that the smaller you get the more attention you have to pay to weight gain.

I've been absent for a long time, really I'm very buesy these days but this can not be a good reason to quit build project, in the past few days I found enough time to polish the PMMA parts and to mount the engine. Hope to have enough time in the next days to complete this partially done thread.

Perhaps this is why I suggest using tail drag plane !!!!!!!!

Maybe you are right and a tail dragger instead of a tricycle one would result in a lighter and easier airfram to build but note that if you want to be faithful to a classic design especially "Curare" you must do the job the way it was
As you know me this is why I sometimes put myself in trouble just to redo what the designer did in the past golden era, the era of pump, tuned pipe and retract
