Hey Evan, that's awesome! I have a short kit for the SS II in my closet that I want to start soon. I drew the plans in CAD and Eureka is selling the kits. Please let me know how it flies. I have a NOS Webra BH that would be great in it.
http://www.eurekaaircraft.com/plan_kits/SS2.htm That's not me in the photo.

Hi everyone,
Its been a while since I've had an opportunity to update the web site. I have been busy the past two days adding pictures to the image-base. 65 new images were added to finish up page 5 and start page 6.
Thanks for all the support, encouragement and kind words...and pictures!

Update to the Image base...three corrections.
Please see the [link=http://www.trentonrcflyers.com/pattern/pattern1.htm]Classic Pattern Image-Base[/link] for the corrections. Removed two images on page 6 by request and corrected one image on page 2...was Interceptor, now its an Intruder.
Thanks
Steve

Hi all.
I would really appreciate pictures of planes that you might have taken yourself or find in old magazines that aren't yet in the image-base. I will not turn down any picture of a plane that may already be in the [link=http://www.trentonrcflyers.com/pattern/pattern1.htm]image-base[/link]. I could also start a section for pattern pilots themselves if there is any interest in that.
Thanks

Hi all,
Here is a list of countries that have visited the [link=http://www.trentonrcflyers.com/pattern/pattern1.htm]Classic Pattern Plane image-base[/link]. Its refreshing to see that there are so many people all over the planet interested in pattern. There were many Europeans and Asians designing and flying pattern, so its really no surprise. 81 countries so far!
Argentina, Aruba, Australia, Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Chile, China, Columbia, Croatia , Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Ecuador, Egypt, Estonia, Faroe Islands, Finland, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Guatemala, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Isreal, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Jordan, Kuwait , Latvia, Luxembourg, Macau, Malaysia, Mexico, Moldova, Mongolia, Netherlands, Netherland Antilles , New Zealand, Nigeria, Norway, Pakistan, Panama, Phillipines, Poland, Portugal, Puerto Rico , Romania, Russian Federation, Saudi Arabia, Serbia , Singapore, Slovak Republic, Slovenia, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Taiwan , Thailand , Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Tuvalu, Ukraine, United Kingdom, United States, Uruguay, Venezuela, Vietnam.
I have a page on my web site where I maintain this list and the date of the first visit. Most of these countries are appear in the statistics every month. I also provide links to Wikipedia in case anyone is interested in finding out a little about them. [link=http://www.trentonrcflyers.com/visitingcountries.htm]Here is the link.[/link]
Thanks

Hi again,
I added 101 pictures to the [link=http://www.trentonrcflyers.com/pattern/pattern1.htm]Classic Pattern Image-base[/link], on [link=http://www.trentonrcflyers.com/pattern/pattern7.htm]page 7[/link] and [link=http://www.trentonrcflyers.com/pattern/pattern8.htm]page 8[/link]. Many of the planes are new to the image-base and there are some new examples of existing planes.
Be sure to check out the [link=http://www.trentonrcflyers.com/pattern/classicpatternlist.htm]Classic Pattern Plane list[/link] and let me know if I need to add any planes to the list.
Thanks

Casniffer,
Just visited your image base fo the first time in a while, and all I can say is WOW.
I have a quick change for you to make if you would. The fourth Kaos on page 1 (the red & blue one with white stars on the wing, stab and rudder) is actually a Tower Kaos. Actually, it wouldn't bother me at all if you decided to remove the picture from the image base since you have so many far superior examples of the Kaos.
Keep up the awesome work on the image base!!!!

hrrcflyer,
I don't want to remove an image just because there are many examples. There may be a picture with a particular view or angle that someone may want to see. I started collecting pattern plane pictures so I could see what a Troublemaker looks like, for example. Also, I'm sure its nice to have your plane in the image-base and they don't take up much space anyway. It would also leave a hole in the gallery page!
I will change the listing to reflect your plane's lineage.
Thanks for the compliment.

At last, for Rainedave and anyone else who might be interested. After 6 weekends of absolutely disgusting weather this Winter Sunday was one of those calm, clear days that you often read about, but never actually enjoy. The Sicroly has flown, the old $40.00 Webra runs without causing any moments and the model has started the trimming process. It won't take much, a bit expo to tone down the ailerons around neutral as they respond to the slightest stick twitch and a bit of elevator movement reduction as it responds splendidly to the elevator, cg may be a little back from optimum, but the thing is speed stable as it is so I won't be fiddling with that too much. Almost totally neutral with the sort of dynamic stability that makes it stop just where the controls stopped, a real 'arrow'. This one is obviously not for the tentative but will track 'just so' for an accurate pattern pilot. Nearest I can compare it to is my beloved 'Superstar'. I know it looks ugly on the ground but in the air it looks pretty good. Inverted needs the merest whiff of down, rolls need almost no correction, just a wee tab of down as it rolls over on its back. The flaps do have a nose up trim change, maybe the cg again, but so long as I throttle back to just over idle no trim adjustment needs to be made. The thing floats around with the flaps down at what appears to be somewhere way under stall speed, but nothing untoward has yet happened and the landing is accomplished with wee dabs of down elevator to make sure it will actually contact the strip. Real slow nose high landings, of course, almost without pilot intervention. Interesting. I have my usual 1~2 deg washout built in to the wing, this may account for the good slow speed manners. Even so the stall is positive, the spin quick and recovery instant on letting go the sticks, just what is required. All in all, not a bad model, certainly a competitive one once fully sorted.

casniffer,
Today I used your database to find a photo of a cutlass for another thread. Your work is INVALUABLE to this community. Thanks.

WEDJ,
I'm glad you're getting some use out of the it. I appreciate the contributions you have made to the image-base that has made it what it is today. This is exactly why I have created it.
Aurora-60,
As I said to someone who emailed me a few weeks ago with some Dirty Birdy images: "I add the majority of the images I find because there might be a view of plane someone needs for comparison or a color scheme or just because they want their plane in it." 4 images of a single example of a single type of plane is the cut-off unless its extraordinary. Most of them are extraordinary, right?
There will be a significant change to the image-base soon that will make it very easy for me to add planes without having to restructure the entire imagebase. It will not adversely affect its usefullness to the visitor. If anything, it will be easier to find a particular plane.
Thanks again!

Changes to the Classic Pattern Plane Information Site! Good changes!
[link=http://www.trentonrcflyers.com/pattern/pattern1.htm]Classic Pattern Image-base:[/link]
I have restructured the image-base to make it easier for me to add planes without having to periodically re-order the images in alphabetical order. I now have a separate page for each letter of the alphabet. Well, nearly. It is also easier and more intuitive for a visitor to find a plane they are interested in. For example, the MK Arrow is listed on the "A" page and the "M" page. I will make an effort to indicate when an image was added to the image-base so repeat visitors will have an idea of what they have and haven't seen.
[link=http://www.trentonrcflyers.com/pattern/classicpatternlist.htm]Classic Pattern Plane List:[/link]
Here is a work-in-progress to compile a complete list of Classic Pattern Planes, their specifications, designer, kitter, etc. Please submit any information you might have with respect to any plane in this list. If you know of a plane that should be in this list, please let me know using the contact information at the bottom of this page. The criteria for a plane to make this list is primarily date. Since this list is not limited in scope as, for example, the Senior Pattern Planes association's list, establishing a cut-off date for a qualifying plane is a matter for discussion. There are planes from the mid-90's in the list.
Keep the contributions coming!
Thanks
CAsniffer

I have some pics of my Candy. The plane was produced as a kit beginning in 1964 by World Wide Models of Detroit. Slightly different from the pic in the gallery as the wing in this kit included wing slats. I'll send your way if you would like.[&:]
