Sorry, I just stumbled across this old photo last night. I don't know if I have any other views.
I sold this plane to Jerry Cuda, who campaigned it for a while longer after replacing the wings with a set he made from Deception cores. Jerry sold it to someone else who ultimately augered it in when he got his elevator out of sync doing 'three rolls'.

Ron,
Back in 1982 or so I was visiting Riverside, California and I went to a contest there where I met Joe Bridi and another person (Troy?) who was kitting an all glass model based on the Deception. I wrote about it in the FPA Newsletter. Is it that one? I think it was called the Exception. I think Rick Sunderland also bought one them.

Ron,
The funny (sad?) part is that I DON'T remember you flying that one and that was from a time period when I flew 7-8 contests a year and you were at most of them ...

Jeff Owens is da winna!
Exception is the name of the aircraft. It was almost an ARF at the time, since the wings and stab were foam molded in fiberglass. After flying it a season, the wings developed wrinkles just outside of the fillets and I passed it along to Jerry Cuda. It was a nice flying plane, though.
But I don't remember where I got it or who kitted it. Maybe someone else here can fill in the history a little.

Ron,
Check back in the FPA Newsletters I sent you last year and there is short description of the Exception along with the name of the kit designer. I'll check on it tonight when I get home. It would have been around the summer of '82.
